Terms of sale

Article 1 — Purpose

These Terms and Conditions of Sale govern all purchases made through the Amici Vela website.

By placing an order on the website, the customer fully accepts these Terms and Conditions.

Article 2 — Products

Products offered for sale are presented on the website with the greatest possible care. Photographs and descriptions are intended to reflect the items as accurately as possible.

However, slight differences may exist between the product shown online and the product received, particularly due to differences in screen display and colour rendering.

Article 3 — Prices

Prices are displayed in euros (€).

Amici Vela reserves the right to change its prices at any time. However, the price charged will be the price displayed at the time the order is confirmed.

Amici Vela operates under the French VAT exemption scheme in accordance with Article 293 B of the French General Tax Code.

Article 4 — Orders

An order becomes final once payment has been successfully confirmed.

Amici Vela reserves the right to cancel or refuse an order in the event of a previous dispute with a customer, suspected fraud, or any obvious irregularity relating to the order or payment.

Article 5 — Payment

Payment may be made using the payment methods available on the website at the time of purchase.

Transactions are secured through the payment service providers used by the store.

Article 6 — Shipping and Delivery

Orders are prepared and dispatched within 24 to 72 business hours after payment has been confirmed, unless otherwise stated.

Delivery times vary depending on the destination country and the carrier used. Any delivery estimates provided are indicative only and may be affected by customs inspections, operational restrictions, exceptional events, or disruptions within the carrier network.

Amici Vela takes all reasonable steps to ensure orders are delivered properly and will assist customers in the event of a shipping-related issue.

The risk of loss or damage passes to the customer when the customer, or a third party designated by the customer, physically takes possession of the order, in accordance with applicable law.

Article 7 — Customs Duties, Taxes and Import Fees

For orders delivered outside the European Union, customs duties, local taxes, import charges or customs clearance fees may be imposed by local authorities or by the carrier.

Unless otherwise stated at checkout, these charges are not included in the product price or in the shipping fees charged by Amici Vela and remain the responsibility of the customer.

The amount of such charges depends on the destination country, the value of the order and local regulations. Amici Vela does not determine these charges or the way in which they are collected.

Shipping fees paid to Amici Vela cover the transportation of the order and do not necessarily include any customs duties, taxes or import-related charges that may be due upon arrival.

Article 8 — Damaged Parcels or Items

Each Amici Vela order is inspected before dispatch. The preparation process and the condition of the items may be documented by photo or video before the parcel is sealed in order to ensure traceability and assist with any potential claim.

If a parcel or its contents arrive damaged, the customer should contact Amici Vela as soon as possible after delivery and retain all packaging until the matter has been resolved.

To allow Amici Vela to open an investigation with the carrier, the customer may be asked to provide:

  • photos of the outer packaging;
  • photos of the inner packaging;
  • clear photos of the damaged item;
  • any available photo or video taken at the time of delivery or when the parcel was opened;
  • any additional information requested by the carrier.

Where an item is documented as being in good condition at the time of dispatch but arrives damaged, Amici Vela may open a claim with the carrier to determine how the damage occurred.

Damage caused after delivery, including damage resulting from improper use, incorrect washing, excessive ironing or steaming temperatures, exposure to a heat source, or any other handling after receipt, will not be considered damage that existed at the time of dispatch.

These provisions do not affect any statutory consumer rights that may apply.

Article 9 — Right of Withdrawal and Returns

In accordance with applicable law, the customer has 14 days from the date of receipt of the order to exercise the right of withdrawal.

Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer, except where applicable law requires Amici Vela to cover them.

Returned items must be:

  • unworn;
  • unwashed;
  • free from odours;
  • in their original condition;
  • returned with their original tags attached.

Any loss in value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics or proper functioning of the product may be taken into account in accordance with applicable law.

Article 10 — Refunds

Once the returned product has been received and inspected, the refund will be issued using the original payment method.

Where the right of withdrawal has been validly exercised, the refund will be processed in accordance with applicable legal requirements.

Article 11 — Customer Service
